The department comprises two main sections: Food and Beverage, and Tourism Management. It is focused on addressing real-world challenges within the hospitality and tourism sectors, both locally and globally.
We play a key role in supporting Kenya Vision 2030, the Competency-Based Education and Training framework, and national tourism development strategies. Our courses span Artisan (Level 4), Craft Certificate (Level 5), and Diploma (Level 6), blending theory with hands-on industry practices.
The department also offers foreign languages such as French and German—an essential skill in global hospitality and tourism. Through field trips, dual training, and student clubs such as the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK) and the Environmental & Sustainability Club, we support student welfare and professional development.
